Hello musicians! Welcome to this music theory series, where you’ll level up your musical artistry and unlock your creative potential.

My name is Davy G and I am here to be your host and guide.

I’m excited to have you join me as we delve into the fundamentals of music creation. My goal is to equip you with the basic knowledge and tools you need to begin making your own music, even if you’re a beginner.

I understand the struggles of starting from scratch. When I first embarked on my songwriting journey, everything sounded…well, let’s just say it wasn’t award-winning material. That’s why I want to spare you the frustration and provide you with key building blocks to truly understand and unlock the potential of music.

I always thought to myself, What if you could have had a roadmap when you first started? Now, after years of studying music, I firmly believe that a solid grasp of music theory can be the catalyst for unleashing your creative potential.

Remember, technical knowledge can enhance any skill, and music is no exception. Knowing the rules of keys can help your tracks sound more polished and cohesive. But hey, breaking the rules can be just as powerful – as long as you know what you’re doing!

For now, we’ll focus on the essential building blocks. Once you grasp them, you’ll start to see the patterns and possibilities, and before you know it, you’ll be composing in any key you desire.

Experienced musicians, I haven’t forgotten you! Feel free to share your favorite music creation techniques in the comments below – we can all learn from each other.

let’s build a supportive community of musicians with the ability and want to help each other.
